Samsung is showing off this model and its slightly smaller brother (an 85 inch model) at the CES 2013 Expo in Las Vegas (which kicks off today and runs for the next three days). The 85 inch and 110 inch Samsung Ultra HD TV’s are floor-standing models that are mounted on something that looks like an artist’s easel.
The televisions are also designed to tilt up or down, creating an impression that their screens are floating inside the frame. The Samsung Ultra HD TV’s run at a resolution of 3,840 × 2,160 pixels and have built-in 120-watt 2.2 channel audio systems and cameras that are used for Samsung gesture-control software.
The Samsung Ultra HD TV’s also has the new Samsung Smart Hub software, voice control and locally dimmed LED-backlights. They also feature application support and S-Recommendation. The processor behind these TV’s is the 1.35Ghz quad-core A15 processor. Standard HDMI ports and optical audio outputs and are also include.
No pricing has been revealed for these Samsung Ultra HD TV’s yet, but you can expect to pay an arm and a leg for these models. They are expected to be made available in the USA in March 2013. It’s unsure if these TV’s will be available in the South African marketplace in the near future.
