Simons Town Penguin Festival: This event takes place on Saturday the 12th of October 2013. The annual African penguin Awareness Day beach release will take place at Seaforth Beach. If you’re an animal lover you should take full advantage of this invitation to watch these little guys waddle their way back to their natural habitat. There will also be other activities in the parking areas in front of Boulders Beach Lodge and Restaurant on Bellevue Road. Besides this visitors will also have an opportunity to meet and take of the famous Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB) ambassador penguins. If the weather plays along visitors will also have the opportunity to swim with them. All this will be done with the aim to raise funds for SANCCOB. Entry to the Simons Town Penguin festival is absolutely free, so you don’t have an excuse to miss out on all the fun.
