Classic Car and Bike Show in Cape Town: This event is held at Timour Hall in Timour Hall Road in Plumstead, Cape Town on the 19th and 20th of January 2013.
This annual event was established as a fund raising event and is definitely one of the highlights on the IPA (International Police Association) calendar. Over the years the Classic Car and Bike show has also become an institution amongst Cape Town nostalgia buffs and fans and has raised more than R120,000 for various charities. The show features some of the rarest and most beautiful cars and bikes in the Western Cape.
The Classic Car and Bike show has seen amazing growth over the years and this year’s expo promises to be one of the biggest ones yet. The 19th January will be dedicated to Modern Classics. Visitors can expect some hot rods, street rods, souped-up vehicles, racing cars and bikes, custom vehicles and motorcycles and a few new cars and bikes. It’s important to note that there won’t be very old or “conventional” classic vehicles on display on this day. The 20th of January is dedicated to Classics. Visitors will be able to view exceptional and elegant vehicles dating from the late 1890’s to more recent times.
The Classic Car and Bike Show is an event for the whole family! There will be plenty of refreshments available! Expect a few food stalls to tickle the taste buds and cool drinks to banish your thirst and the ever popular and well-shaded Classic Car and Bike show beer garden. Visitors can spend the day exploring and discovering new and beautiful flowers. Visitors can join one of the groups where a local wildflower guide will take them on a walk and introduce them to some of the many flowers that Chrissiesmeer has to offer.
