3 Port Elizabeth markets worth visiting

Port Elizabeth is a major city in South Africa. It’s smaller than the other cities in our country, but that doesn’t mean that nothing ever happens in the Windy City. There’s still more than 1 million people who choose to live in the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan area, so what keeps them there? I’m pretty sure that it’s not the strong winds, one of the reasons might be the 3 Port Elizabeth markets worth visiting that I’m featuring on the Junk Mail Blog today.

Lady Slipper Farmers MarketLady Slipper Farmers Market: This market takes place every Saturday from 8 AM to 12 noon in St Albans at the Van Stadens River grounds at the Dutch Reformed Church (NG Kerk) in Old Cape Road. This market is family friendly and features stalls selling farm-fresh produce and meat, all kinds of South African favorites (like pancakes, samoosas, curry and rice and “moerkoffie”), dairy products, biltong, tasty treats, baked goods, pickles, ice cream and various other goodies.

The market also supports local traders selling arts and crafts, so make sure that you check out which goods they have for sale. The Lady Slipper Farmers Market also has a kids play area where mom and dad can drop off the kids and shop in peace. If you’re planning on visiting this market, make sure that you get there early, before some of the goods sell out. For more information about this awesome market phone 041 7751407.
