It’s hard to believe that September 2012 is slowly coming to end. But turn that frown upside down, the next month is just around the corner and there doesn’t seem to be a shortage of events in October 2012.
Today’s batch of events is quite a unique one. We’re pretty sure that you’ll be attending one of these four events in October 2012. All three of them are quite exciting!
The rAge Expo: This is one for all the gamers out there. This expo takes place at the Coca Cola Dome in Northriding, Johannesburg from 5 to 7 October 2012. It will be the 10th time that the rAge Expo will be held this year.
The rAGe Expo is the ultimate interactive entertainment experience in South Africa. Exhibitors do important business and retailers take advantage of the tremendous spending power of the entertainment technology and gaming consumer. The expo is South Africa’s leading powerhouse computer, gaming and technology expo.
rAge expo brings together the most popular and cutting-edge games, technology, gadgets and gaming-related products – all under one roof. The Coca Dola dome is the perfect venue for this. rAge expo allows visitors to get some hands-on time with and a close-up look at the things they love and desire most. The expo has been attracting more and more visitors each year that its been held. More than 20,000 visitors are expected to make their way to the 2012 rAge Expo. One of the highlights of the rAge Expo every year is the NAG LAN. This is basically a wired melting pot of gaming and gamers in the form of a 56-hour “Bring Your Own Computer” NAG LAN. It’s the biggest gaming LAN in South Africa. 2,470 gamers will be connected to the same network for a weekend of pure gaming. It’s the gaming fanatic’s ultimate experience. Unfortunately tickets for the NAG LAN have been sold out already, but there’s always next year, so make a note of this.

Durban Homemakers Expo: This event is held at the Durban Exhibition Center from 4 to 7 October 2012. Entrance to this event costs R45 for adults, R25 for pensioners and children under 12 can enter for free.

If you’re looking to make your house a home, the Durban Homemakers Expo is the ultimate expo to check out. This is the one lifestyle exhibition you should not miss.
There will be more than 220 market leading interior and exterior home improvement exhibitors at the Durban Homemakers Expo this year. The expo will also enlighten you with its extremely exciting highlights and feature areas. Rocking the Daisies Music Festival: The 2012 edition of this festival takes place at Cloof Wine Estate (in Darling in the Western Cape) from the 4th to the 7th of October. It will be the fifth annual edition of the event.
For those of you who did not know, Rocking the Daisies is the fastest growing eco-friendly music and lifestyle festival in the country. This years festival will once again offer the best in live entertainment, lifestyle exhibitions and yummy gourmet food.
Over 10,000 people attended Rocking the Daisies in 2011 and this year’s festival promises to be full of cutting edge, quality music, art fields and facilities aimed to cater for everyone.
