SimCity: Yes! The ultimate city simulator will be back in 2013! Prepare to build the city of your dreams and to manage it like the mayor you’ve always wanted to be. Great news is that Electronic Arts / Maxis is developing the 2013 edition of SimCity using GlassBox (a new simulation engine) which takes a different approach from previous simulation games.

For the first time in the history of SimCity, your decisions could have long-lasting repercussions that could extend beyond your city’s limits.  Players will also be addressing real global challenges (such as climate change, the search for renewable resources and natural disasters) for the first time. Another first includes non-linear curved roads and zoning areas that can conform to different road types.

This all sounds exciting! SimCity is definitely one of the most anticipated video game releases of 2013! In case you were wondering, SimCity will be released in March 2013 for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. Check out the trailer for the upcoming SimCity game below:

Crysis 3: This is a first person shooter game under development by Crytek which will be published Electronic Arts in February 2013. Crysis 3 is the third instalment of the Crysis series. It’s the sequel to the 2011 game Crysis 2.

The upcoming game is set in 2047 (24 years after Crysis 2). In Crysis 3 you take on the role of Prophet as he returns to New York and discovers that the city has been encased in a giant Nano dome (created by the corrupt Cell Corporation).

In Crysis 3, the New York City Liberty Dome is a veritable urban rainforest teeming with overgrown trees, dense swamp lands and raging rivers. Within this dome seven treacherous environments have become known as the Seven Wonders.

Prophet goes on a revenge mission after uncovering the truth behind Cell Corporation’s motives for building the quarantined Nano domes. Alien Ceph are lurking around almost every corner, human enemies are on the attack and nobody is truly safe in the path of Prophet’s vengeance.

Over the years the Crysis series of games have become quite popular among gamers and Crysis 3 is definitely one of the most anticipated games released of 2013. The game will be released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and Sony PS3. Check out the Crysis 3 game trailer below:

The 2013 edition of Tomb Raider will be 5th game that has been released in this franchise. Many gamers consider this game as one of the video games to look out for in 2013.

The upcoming game explores the origin story of Lara Croft and her ascent from being a frightened young woman to a hardened survivor. She sets out on a journey on the Endurance (a ship commanded by Conrad Roth). The ship is hit by a violent storm and split into two. Lara Croft and many other survivors are stranded on an isolated tropical island in the Dragon’s Triangle.

Lara Croft has to find food and water to survive and fight off the dangerous animal inhabitants of the island, whilst trying to trace the other survivors. Croft is forced to harden her against killing people in order to fight a group of mercenaries who want to kill her and her companions. The game will be released in March 2013 in the United States for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and Sony PS3. Check out the Tomb Raider game trailer below.
