Two Oceans Marathon 2012: This event is held in the Western Cape on the 7th of April 2012. The Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon presented by Nike is run under the rules of IAAF, Athletics South Africa and Western Province Athletics. About 20,000 participants will be willingly taking on 56 km of open road and challenging mountain climbs. It’s also as stunning as it is challenging. The route will take runners through some of the most scenic spots in the Western Cape. Freedom Day Celebrations and Weekend Market:This event takes place on the 27th and 28th of April 2012 at Auchtermuchty Plot 76, Doornrandtjies in Pretoria. What better way to celebrate than to share our hand-made, home grown and hand crafted wares with each other and the community. Not only is this an ‘old fashioned fete’ but also a coming together of spirits. There will be fire dancing, drumming, music, a sweat lodge, assorted artists, stalls, a sangoma speaker, talks on a variety of topics and much more.
