A Collection of 8 Funny Photos of Cats

Cats classifieds are quite popular on Junk Mail. There are currently more than 700 classifieds posted in the Cats category on Junk Mail. Many of you reading this post have cats as pets. They are probably the second most popular pets that humans keep (after dogs).  According to Wikipedia there are close to 2 million domesticated cats in South Africa and close to 220 million cats globally.

Apparently the first people to keep our four legged feline friends as pets were the Ancient Egyptians (about 3600 years ago). According to historic accounts cats caught the mice, rats and other vermin that raided the Egyptian grain supplies. They were well looked after and cared for and became pets. Cats were even worshiped as part of the Ancient Egyptian religion.

If you killed one of them in Ancient Egypt there you would be sentenced to death. Cats were truly held in high regard in Ancient Egypt. Archaeologists have found cat mummies in Egyptian tombs. The Romans are actually credited to introducing the house cat to Europeans, but its possible that they were already in Europe before their time.

Times have changed and technology has improved since then, but one thing hasn’t changed – humans still love cats.  They love how they purr, play around, their style, their craziness, etc.  The human race would be probably be a much more boring species without cats if you ask me.

Today we’re featuring  8 Funny Cat Photos to put you in a good mood this week.

Since I love cats so much, I’ve decided to share something extra with you today. This advert below for Cravendale milk entitled “Cats With Thumbs” was voted the TV advert of the year in the UK last year on Channel 4. Imagine if cats could really grow thumbs, they could probably take over the world…

  1. Have you ever considered about including a little bit more than just
your articles? I mean, what you say is important and everything.
However think about if you added some great graphics
or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is
excellent but with pics and clips, this website could certainly be
one of the very best in its niche. Terrific blog!
