A touch of genius with the MacBook Pro

The laptop industry has been dominated by Apple since the introduction of the very capable Macbook Pro for sale. While the higher than normal MacBook price has always kept many people from buying MacBooks, these laptop models marked the beginning of the design era where the biggest priority one considered when buying a new laptop was the laptop’s design and the brand’s image.

Apple clearly understood this very early on creating a revolution for laptops that are marketed as laptops for mavericks. Apple has been known to engineer laptops with amazing performance specs while keeping their laptops paper thin and light enough to be carried in one hand.

Apple’s superiority does not end with its design. Apple has also been known to make laptops with daring new features, some of which have been quite controversial. The introduction of new features such as the touch bar left non Apple users asking whether or not the touch bar was better than a full touch screen laptop.

While a lot of laptop brands have been playing around with introducing full touch screen, Apple has shielded away from the touch screen race opting instead to launch this new touch bar feature.

Features of the Apple MacBook Pro

The Apple MacBook Pro has always been capable of delivering a host of impressive features. Aside from the touch bar you can expect to find a Touch ID features. With the Touch ID you can use your fingerprint to confirm your identity when making online purchases on the Apple Play store or other online marketplaces that support this feature. In addition to this the Touch ID acts as an authentication system for logging in to the laptop.

By simply tapping your finger on the Touch ID you can login or switch users depending on how you set up your laptop’s configurations replacing the need to remember those lengthy passwords that you use for all your devices.

The Macbook pro also comes built with a newly designed force touch trackpad. Clicking this trackpad feels like a completely new experience. The trackpad is not the standard mechanical trackpad it is something completely different.

The trackpad is simply an inert piece of glass and if you try and click the trackpad while the laptop is turned off absolutely nothing happens. However the moment you turn your Apple MacBook Pro on the software powering the trackpad powers on and converts the inert piece of glass into a fully functional trackpad which has been programmed to emulate the same effects you would get from a standard trackpad.

When it comes to the processor speed and storage capacity, with the newer Macbook Pro you can expect nothing short of world class performance. In terms of storage you are given the choice between a 256 GB hard drive and a 512 GB hard drive.

While there are a lot of laptops offering higher storage when it comes to practical usage unless you are downloading incredibly large programs and games you should do quite well with a 512GB and if you do run out of energy as programs become bigger you can always buy an external hard drive to save any additional files.

With the MacBook Pro 13 inch you get an option between a 2.0GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 with a Turbo boost of up to 3.1 GHz and a 2.9 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 with a turbo boost of up to 3.3GHz. With the MacBook Pro 15 inch you also have two processor options.

You can choose between the 2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 with a Turbo boost of up to 3.5 GHz and a 2.7 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 with a turbo boost of up to 3.6 GHz.

Apple MacBook Pro Display

As is now expected a lot of the newer Apple Macbook Pro models come built with Apple’s famous retina display. With the 2016 version the 13 and 15 inch model each have different display capabilities.

With the 13 inch model you can expect a 2560 x 1600 native resolution at 227 pixels per inch. While the MacBook Pro 15 inch has been built with a 2880 x 1800 native resolution at 220 pixels per inch.

Both these models come with LED- backlit display with IPS technology and supporting scaling of 1680 x 1050 for the 13 inch model and 1920 x 1200 for the 15 inch model.

iOS

When it comes to operating systems, the newer Macbook Pro comes pre-installed with Mac OS’s Yosemite or El Capital software. Yosemite comes with features such as split screen view, spaces bar, a feature that allows you to make phone calls from your Mac.

El Capitan on the other hand simply builds on to the features already added to the operating system’s capability by Yosemite. The only notable difference is the addition of Siri to act as a virtual assistant, an upgraded Notes app and slightly improved user experience.

Apple has also recently decided to add macOS Sierra to the list of available operating systems. There are not too many additions to this operating system.

Much like El Captain this is simply an improvement on the previous operating system. With Sierra you will find a beautiful mixture of Iphone’s iOS features and commands and traditional OSX making this a perfect synergy of smartphone and PC software.

Available Options and MacBook Pro Specifications

With the Mac range you have a choice between 3 models; the Macbook pro 13 inch model, the Macbook 13 inch with Touch bar and the Macbook pro 15 inch with touch bar capabilities.
