AgriWorks Farmers Expo – 10 November – 12 November 2011

The AgriWorks Farmers Expo takes place this weekend (from the 10th to the 12th of November 2011) at the Van Der Stel Sport Grounds in Stellenbosch.

The AgriWorks Farmers Expo is now in its 2nd year. The expo was well attended by the local farming community and visitors throughout the region and even attracted visitors as far as Vredendal and Kwa-Zulu Natal last year. The Chinese delegation from the Accredited Farm Scheme that was visiting the country last year also made time to visit the expo in 2010.

The AgriWorks Farmers Expo focuses on farming equipment, services and the transfer of knowledge to wine and fruit growers, and is relative to all other agricultural produce. More than 120 suppliers will exhibit their products and services to farmers, winemakers and the agri-trade at large (with a special focus on the wine and fruit  sectors). The Expo’s programme includes various activities and workshops (featuring talks, demonstrations and technical tastings).

A farm workers programme is also available on Thursday and Friday morning. Saturday also includes activities and entertainment for the whole family. The AgriWorks Farmers Expo is a must visit event for all farmers, winemakers, the agricultural trade and even gardeners. The public is also welcome.

Entrance to the AgriWorks Farmers Expo costs R30 per person (for adults) and R10 per person (for Under 18s). Show times are 9 AM to 5 PM (on Thursday and Friday) and 9 AM to 3 PM (on Saturday). For more info visit http://www.agriworks.co.za/.
