Have fun with the Colour Run

The Colour Run is one the most famous running events in Cape Town. This is part of the global event that was founded on March 2011 primarily to promote healthy living and happiness among communities.

Because of this, this event adopted the name the, ‘Happiest 5k on the Planet’. It’s not hard to believe that this is the happiest 5km run around.

If you have ever taken part in a Colour Run you will know that the majority of people running in the event will generally be smiling and happy. The moment you start the event you get a free white shirt and headband.

However, as with all free things there is always a catch. Once you start running you will realize that your new white shirt will be blasted with different colour powders by volunteers cheering you on.

You won’t be the only one experiencing this as people from all age groups take part in these running events. Everyone runs, walks, or either crawls and rolls, in a quest to get to the finish line while having the time of their lives.

Once you complete the race you get to go to the DJ booth where you get sprayed with even more colours. This is definitely a run you do not want to miss. If you want to find out more about Colour Run, events check out their official site for more details.
