If you have children or if you’re expecting a baby the Baba Indaba may just be what you are looking for. This premier event is held in 3 different South African cities every year and it’s definitely the baby, toddler and parenting exhibition that you should not miss. The Cape Town leg of this event will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Center (CTICC) from the 26th to the 28th of July 2013.
The Baba Indaba gives parents and pregnant moms the chance to connect with manufacturers, suppliers and retailers of baby products – they’ll find everything that they need under one roof. There will be exhibits for prams, baby joggers, nursery furniture, feeding bottles, vitamin supplements, vaccinations, baby and toddler car seats, nutritional products, medical products, pool safety products, video cameras and a whole lot more.
This year the Speakers’ Lounge at Baba Indaba will feature some very interesting related topics. There will be speakers from Nedbank, Baby Throne, Kiddy-Calm, Clicks Baby Club, Oh-Lief and Le Leche League and topics like baby development, breastfeeding tips, immunization and toilet training will be covered.
Takalani Sesame will be doing shows 3 times a day at the Baba Indaba, there will also be fashion shows for maternity wear and baby clothing and there will also be plenty of other cartoon characters around to entertain the kids. Visitors are reminded to make use of the Kiddy Tags service to ensure that toddlers remain safe and don’t get lost. This great service reunites parents with their children within minutes (in case they decide to wander off).
The Cape Town Baba Indaba will be open from 9:30 AM to 5 PM daily. Entrance costs R60 at the gate or R55 if you’re buying a ticket online at Computicket. Kids under 6 years old can enter for free. For more information check out the Baba Indaba website or the Baba Indaba Facebook page.
