Brace yourself for the 2013 Hermanus Kalfiefees

Hermanus Kalfiefees 2013 01Living in the Western Cape and looking for something fun to do on this year’s Women’s Day long weekend? Well, the 2013 Hermanus Kalfiefees might just be what you’re looking for.

The Hermanus Kalfiefees celebrates the arrival of the Southern Right Whales.  This year’s edition will take place from Wednesday the 8th of August to Sunday the 11th of August and there will be more happening than just whale watching. The festival incorporates a whole variety of events and activities for the whole family.

This festival features a huge variety of Afrikaans and English drama, comedy and children’s stage productions. These productions will be hosted at the Sandbaai hall, the Hermanus Civic Centre, Hoërskool Hermanus, the Premiere hall in Hawston and the De Wet hall. There will also be a Women’s Day celebration event at the Class Room Restaurant and book discussions at De Verskooten Restaurant.

Kalfiefees 2013Besides this there will also be musical performances by Zanne Stapelberg, Kathleen Tagg, Valiant Swart, Johan Bakkes, Daniele Pascal, Trevor Nasser, Jannie Moolman, Riaan Hurter, Goitsemang Lehobye, Janelle Visagie, Lynelle Kenned, Magdalene Minnaar, Vanessa Tait-Jones, Elna Van Der Merwe, Sterling EQ, Zorada Temmingh, Rocco de Villiers and Ashley Bodil at various venues in the region. Want to plan your week at the Hermanus Kalfiefees?
