Clanwilliam Wildflower Festival Coming Soon!

Living in the Western Cape? Looking for something to do at the end of August? Escape the hustle and bustle of Cape Town city life and make your way to the Clanwilliam Wildflower Festival. This event takes place from the 29th of August to the 8th of September. This awesome festival showcases the stunning flora that’s only found in the Clanwilliam District and Ramskop Nature Reserve and aims to spread public awareness on conservation issues. This event was first held in 1972 and is a must for flower fanatics. Every year visitors who love and appreciate the beauty of wild flowers are drawn to this tiny town in the Western Cape.

Various exciting activities are on offer throughout the Clanwilliam Wildflower Festival. About 360 species are exhibited by the Clanwilliam Wildflower Society at the festival and visitors can expect live music performances, art competitions for kids, hiking trails and flower spotting trips. It definitely promises to be a memorable experience for the whole family.

The official opening of the festival will take place on the 24th of August at 6 PM. The Clanwilliam Wild Flower Show is open from 9 AM to 6 PM daily. Entrance costs R30 for adults, R25 for pensioners and R5 for children.
