If you are looking for a sustained healthier lifestyle, quality family time and all-round family entertainment, then join the Discovery Jacaranda family, and spend a family day outdoors.
Online entries for the race is now closed, but you have the last chance to enter for the race as late entries will be accepted during the registration days.
The registration for the Spring walk begins on the 10th of September and ends on the 12th of September at the Pretoria Rugby Club in Groenkloof between 09:00 & 19:00…
The Spring Walk will be hosted at the historical Union Buildings in Pretoria on the 13th of September. The Discovery Jacaranda Spring Walk caters for everyone from professional athletes to families, by providing a range of routes to choose from.
You can choose to participate in the 5km, 8km or 10km walk. The cost of the 5km and 8km walk is R110. The 10km walk with a temporary license is R140.
Start Times
15 km begins at 15:30
8km begins at 16:30
5km begins at 17:00
Rewards
Medals will be provided for all walkers of the Discovery Jacaranda Spring walk. Water will also be provided every 3km’s of the route. There will be full medical facilities on route during the race.
If you are a Discovery Vitality member you will be rewarded with Vitality points, 3000 points if you are participating in the 5km or 8km and 5000 points if you are participating in the 15km walk.
Entertainment
Jacaranda FM will be broadcasting live from the spring walk. Dewald Wasserfall & Johannesburg Youth Orchestra will also perform live followed by the Pyrotechnics Show.
Refreshments
There will be numerous food and snacks stalls available at the Union Buildings ground at the hospitality village. You are also allowed to bring along a picnic basket to enjoy the entertainment that is available from the morning.
So dust off you trainers, make sure your shorts fit and get ready to join Kahn Morbee (The Parlotones), the Bulls and the Titans champs and walk across Pretoria with a storm!
