Great news for movie fans! DSTV has launched it’s online version of its BoxOffice movie rental service. The service is called BoxOffice Live and is available to everyone with an internet connection, not just DSTV subscribers.
BoxOffice Live gives movie fans the opportunity to rent a movie online. Prices range from R10 for Classic films to R30 for New Releases. Users can either stream the movies on the Box Office website or download the movies via DSTV Desktop Player app. The app is compatible with both PCs an Apple Macs.
All movie fans need to do to sign up is to create a BoxOffice account. This will enable them to use various payment methods that are available to rent and watch movies online or via the DStv Desktop Player. Box Office Live works the same as the Box Office service that’s available on DSTV PVR decoders. Once they’ve rented a movie, users can watch a movie as much as they like in a 48 hour period. After this period, the movie expires. New movies will also be added every week on BoxOffice Live.
Box Office Live sounds like good value for money. R30 is a reasonable price for a new movie release. It’s great to see that Multichoice is thinking about all South Africans and not just DSTV subscribers.
