It is no secret that the world is facing bigger environmental issues than ever before in recorded history. Many of us want to do something to help the environment, but we don’t know where to start. Earth Hour is a great way that every single one of us can do something for the environment with ease.
What is Earth Hour?
Every year towards the end of the month of March the World Wildlife Federation organizes the event known as Earth Hour. Anyone around the world can participate because all you have to do is turn off all non-essential lights and electronics for one hour to help raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change.
When is Earth Hour taking place in 2013?
This year Earth Hour is taking place on Saturday 23 March from 20:30 – 21:30. The event is not occurring around the world all at once, instead it is going to be flowing from the all the different time zones to the next time zone.
Here at Junk Mail we will also be doing our part by turning off all our nonessential lights and electronics. Help us and the rest of the world raise awareness about climate change and join in on Earth Hour 2013.
