Events in Gauteng – August 2011

Duitse Draai Charity Social: This event is held on the 19th of August 2011. Prepare yourselves for an evening filled with some wine tasting, imported German beer tasting, art exhibition, music, food & fun. Supervision & entertainment is provided for kids. It’s 3rd time that the Duitse Draai Charity Social is going to be held. This year the Charity Social has a German theme. Feel free to dress up to it. Kids tickets cost R20. Non-tasting tickets cost R60. Full-house tickets cost R80 (which includes a logo-branded, imported crystal ISO wine tasting glass that’s yours to keep). All wines and beers can be ordered at special prices on the evening (even 10% of this goes to charity) and the night gets closed off with a charity auction. Apart from a variety of artists, the following producers have already committed to show a selection of their wines (these include old favourites and cutting-edge new boutique wineries): Raka, Howard Booysen, Flagstone, Axe Hill (port specialist), Saxenburg, Rhebokskloof, La Vierge, Teddy Hall, Boschkloof, Louis, Belfield, Knorhoek, Yonder Hill, Opstal, Cronier & Imported German Beer (beers from Bitburger and Weisengold).
