Mr Price Pro: This event is held on the KZN North Coast from 4 to 10 July 2011. This internationally recognized surfing competition takes place just 30 km North of Durban at Ballito’s Salmon Bay and Surfers beaches. In between this action packed surfing event an impressive number of popular South African bands will treat the public to a 2 day concert, free to the public at Salt Rock with the Acoustic and Rock nights. Don’t miss out on these rocking events. The Mr Price Pro was formerly known as the Gunston 500. The event was originally staged at the old Bay of Plenty. After the Bay’s groyne piers were replaced with the current piers in the early 80’s, the highly acclaimed international event was moved a few hundred meters further South to North Beach. Although the event did stage a brief episode at New Pier at the turn of the new millennium, North Beach has remained the chief venue for the remainder of the events history, until now.
