Events in KZN – October 2010

MTN Amashova National Classic: This event is scheduled for the 17th of October 2010 in Pietermaritzburg in KZN. The race has been dubbed the safest cycle race in Kwazulu Natal. The 23rd annual Amashova National Cycle Classic was held in October 2009. For the first time it was known as the MTN Amashova National Cycle Classic. This 106km road race follows a similar route to that of the Comrades Marathon. This race is held in rather humid conditions, although its not Durban’s stickiest time of year. The race starts in Pietermaritzburg and ends in Durban at the Suncoast Casino and Entertainment World. The race starts at 06h30 on the morning of the event. Early birds on the lookout for a sporting chance to enjoy the outdoors and KZN’s beautiful spring weather can sign up for the Sunday Tribune Amashova family fun ride (which starts at Hillcrest High School at 05h45 on the same day and finishes at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban). Home Makers ExpoDurban Homemakers Expo: This event is scheduled for the 7th October to 10th of October 2010 at the Durban Exhibition center.
