Berg & Bush 2010: This event is scheduled for the 6th and 7th of November 2010. Since 2009, the event is held at the beautiful and picturesque Emseni Camp on the banks of the Tugela River, only 20 minutes outside of Winterton. The 2010 Berg and Bush is set to provide riders with another event full of unique experiences. The route varies every year offering roughly 130 km of challenging single track, leg burning climbs and hair raising down hills through scenic mountain and bushveld country side. The race route was created by Winterton based mountain biker and farmer Gary Green and his team who have a broad knowledge of the area. The route promises to be both challenging and enjoyable for any rider of any skill level and is held under the auspices of the Estcourt Mountain bike club. The roaming mechanics will be present at this year’s event again in their infamous Berg and Bush kit, so any mechanical problems en route will be attended to. The race ambassador’s concept will be implemented. 5 of SA’s professional mountain bikers will be spreading themselves out amongst the field and interacting with riders. The sundowner’s trip will once again take place on the Saturday afternoon. Supporters and families will again be well looked after with the champagne breakfasts out on route each day.
