Events in KZN – September 2011

Zululand Expo: This event is held in Richard’s Bay from the 29th of September to the 1st of October 2011. Zululand’s premier combined entertainment and exhibition showcase is the the second largest event of its kind in the province and provides an ideal platform for local and national trade. It’s also an opportunity for the public to enjoy the latest in South Africa’s top entertainment. Entertainment includes both local and national artists and performers, making up a spectacular fusion of entertainment, that suits all age groups and cultures. Exhibitors from all over the country will once again display their products or services. There will be exhibits covering decor, sports and leisure, arts and crafts, fashion and accessories, the motor industry, outdoor and garden, technology, tourism, education & industrial exhibits. White Mountain Festival: This event is held from the 29th of September to the 2nd of October 2011 at Giant’s Castle in the Central Drakensberg. Festival goers can prepare themselves for 4 days of laid-back acoustic music in an awesome setting. The festival offers acoustic performances by some of the country’s finest established and up-and-coming artists, as well as a choice of camping, caravanning and chalet accommodation, plus outdoor activities for the whole family. Attractions include hiking, boating and bass fishing, arts and crafts, a beer market featuring several local breweries, assorted food stalls and fun kids’ entertainment. There will also be abseiling (down a 45m cliff face) and a fuffi slide across a nearby 100m-wide gorge for the more adventurous. If the weather permits there will also be helicopter flips.
