3rd African Bonsai Convention: This event in held in Durban from the 22nd to the 25th of September 2011 at the Gateway Shopping Centre. Visitors are invited to visit this event in celebration of African and International bonsai. Two prestigious international bonsai experts, Robert Steven and Bill Valavanis and a host of local demonstrators will be sure to amaze and entertain visitors. In addition to the convention itself the organizers have also made arrangements for a variety of additional activities to keep spouses and families entertained while they are attending the show. Visitors are invited to join them before or after for a game drive around one of KZN’s famous game reserves or enjoy the pleasures of South Africa’s wonderful coastline. Heritage Market: This event is held on the 24th of September 2011 in Hillcrest. Parents can sit back and relax at the coffee shop while their children have a ball of a time at the various activities planned. There will be beading, candle dipping and colouring-in activites for the young ones in the Rose Garden. Entertainment includes the Twirly whirly swing, face painting, balloon sculpting as well as the very popular Animal Menagerie. This will most definitely be a fun day out for the entire family.
