Paarl Malls Bridal Expo: This event will be held at Paarl Mall from the 29th to the 31st of July 2011. If you are happily engaged and want to plan your dream wedding this bridal fair will have everything you need to plan your very special day. This beautiful shopping mall in the heart of the winelands is conveniently located just off the N1. Enjoy a scenic drive from Cape Town towards Paarl, take the Cecilia Street off ramp directly after the Paarl turnoff and experience a modern shopping mall offering nearly 100 inviting shops. Stroll past fabulous bridal displays, pop into your favourite shop, stop for coffee and add to your shopping enjoyment. This event is brought to you by ATKV Goudini Spa and will offer engaged couples a variety of professional exhibitors, services and products. The Wedding Parade throughout the Mall featuring “brides and grooms” wearing bridal gowns and suits takes place on Saturday 30 July @12.30. Music ensembles and interactive displays will enhance your visit to the mall. Meander past all the creative displays throughout the mall until 5pm on Friday and Saturday and 4pm on Sunday. PPC Riebeek Berg Marathon and Half Marathon: This event is held on the 30th of July 2011. By marathon standards this is a challenging course but don’t be fooled by the easy first 8 km of the race – the next 2 km mark a steady climb and after that you will face a hill that will test your endurance to the limit! Respite, although short comes after the top of the hill but another hill looms around the 22km mark. There are stretches of gravel between the 4 km and 16 km marks and again around the 29 km mark. The rest of the race is moderate with an easy finish. Each finisher is presented with a commemorative bottle of wine and refreshments. Walkers are welcome to take part in the 21.1km or 10km events and there is a fun run. The race starts at PPC Cement in Riebeek-West. For more information phone Ilse on 079 5235145.
