On 5 March the fuel price again increased. The increase was substantial at 36c per litre on 93 and 95 EPU to bring the price for 1 litre of 93 EPU to R14.11 for inland drivers.
This substantial increase will not only affect our pockets with regards to our fuel consumption, it is bound to eventually play a part in the increase of food prices too, as these need to be transported between farms, distribution centres and shops.

- Service your car regularly
- Reduce your drag by removing any unused roof fixtures
- Use high-quality fuels
- Turn off your aircon
- Lighten your load
- Avoid stop/start driving
- Avoid excessive idling
- Ease off the accelerator
- Avoid short journeys
- Change down a gear
- Join or create a lift-club
