Grahamstown Arts Festival
The National Arts Festival starts tomorrow (2 July) in Grahamstown and will end 11 July. This annual event is a must-do on the arts calendar.
Some of the musical performances include:
The Parlotones, Freshlyground, Jesse Clegg, Viva Baroque Cello Programme, Canciones Españolos and Pacific Boy chir.
Movies include:
Slumdog Millionaire, Zeitgeist, White Wedding, The Wrestler, Disgrace and Jerusalema.
Theatre and Student theatre includes:
The Olive Tree, In Toon, Threads, Iago’s Last Dance, Crawl and Draw Wings.
There will also be street theatre, musical theatre, dance, jazz, Think!Fest, Spiritfest, art walkabouts, workshops, exhibitions, the famous Village Green craft market and many more.
