Great News! The Hilton Arts Festival is coming to Hilton College (near Pietermaritzburg) soon. This festival celebrates its 21st birthday this year and will feature the best in theatre, music, dance, craft, cabaret, visual art and more. It’s Kwazulu Natal’s premier arts and culture festival. This year’s edition of the festival will take place from the 13th to the 15th of September 2013 and promises to be awesome experience choc-a-bloc full of local flavor and lots of interesting things to do for the whole family.
Experience the 4th annual Jongosi youth and performing arts celebration, treat yourself to an awesome comedy or drama play, enjoy some excellent musical performances or expose your eardrums to one of the excellent concerts in the music revival series. Alternatively take a stroll through the Art About exhibits, treat your kids to some of children’s theatre or experience Mindscape (a series of visual, intellectual, dynamic, different and entertaining experiences).
Visitors are also more than welcome to explore the Hilton Arts Festival craft market which will feature stalls selling books, jewellery, handbags, various types and styles of clothes, antiques, African crafts, gifts, ceramics, pearls, art decor pieces and lots more. Also expect to find stalls selling delicious treats like chocolates, biltong, nuts, delhi products, fudge, sweets, biscuits and various other odds and ends that may just tantalize your taste buds. Visitors are also welcome to check out the SAB Marquee tent, the Coffee and Cholocate Gazebo, the Tops Long Table and Tops Bar, the Food Village, Arts Cafe, The Chapel Door and the Art Block rotary bar.
