History is Made at Junk Mail
At 8am this morning Junk Mail shifted away from a paid service to a completely free to use site.
This is a very significant milestone in the history of the Junk Mail Media Group, and for the online classifieds community in South Africa.
As of today, you can place a (free!) ad by phone, fax, sms or online and your ad will appear online immediately – free to view for any website user. No more waiting the Paper edition to be published online every Thursday.
We had quite a few calls from our users who were quite surprised at this move. Many asking us what do they now pay for online. The answer is simply, ‘nothing’.
It is free to place an ad, and free to view.
I spent much of today simply watching the new ads in my favourite classifications refresh.
While Junk Mail history was made today, in many ways the history of Junk Mail Online starts today.
