How To Train Your Dragon 2 Teaser Trailer released

Great news for kids and adult fans of animated films: How To Train Your Dragon 2 is coming soon! The film is scheduled to be released in the United States in June 2014.

The upcoming film takes place five years after the first movie. Hiccup and his friends are now in their late teens. The gang are now challenging each other to dragon races (the island of Berk’s favorite new contact sport). Hiccup and his faithful dragon companion Toothless now constantly journey through the skies. They spend their days charting new territories and exploring new worlds. Whilst they are on one of their adventures they discover a secret and mysterious ice cave filled with hundreds of dragons and find themselves in the middle of a bigger conflict.

The film is directed by Dean DeBlois (who also directed the first How To Train Your Dragon film and 2002’s Lilo and Stitch). Most of the first film’s cast is re-united. How To Train Your Dragon 2 will feature the voice talents of Jay Baruchel (who appeared in 2010’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice), Gerard Butler (who needs no introduction), Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill (who is appearing in the sequel to 21 Jump Street next year), Christopher Mintz-Plasse, T.J. Miller, Kristen Wiig (who recently lent her voice talents to Despicable Me 2) and Kit Harington.

How To Train Your Dragon 2 is one of the most anticipated films of 2014. The first film was made on a budget of $165 million and brought in close to $500 million at the box office. I’m expecting this film to perform very well. No South African release date has been announced for How To Train Your Dragon 2 yet, but I’m expecting it to be released about the same time that it gets released in the US. Keep your eyes peeled on the Nu Metro and Ster-Kinekor websites for updates about this film though.
