Introducing the Samsung Galaxy S3 Smartphone!

Galaxy S3Many of you reading this blog use a Cell Phone at least once a day. Cell Phones have become part of our daily lives and routines. South Africa has one of the highest mobile penetration rates in the world. South Africans are also buying more and more smartphones as they become more entwined into the digital world. Last week Samsung announced the launch of the third generation Galaxy S smartphone, the Galaxy S III. This smartphone is designed for humans and inspired by nature. The Galaxy S III is a smartphone

that recognizes your voice, understands your intention and lets you share a moment instantly and easily. The phones predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S II has been quite a popular choice among South African smartphone users. The Samsung S III promises to have quite an impact on the South African smartphone market.

The Samsung Galaxy S III has a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display. It also has two cameras: A 8 megapixel main camera and a 1.9 megapixel front camera. This phone is powered by the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Operating System. It has greatly enhanced usability and practicality to make life easier. The Samsung Galaxy S III promises to deliver a uniquely personalized mobile experience that refuses to be compromised. This phone enhances the interaction experience between the device and user. The Samsung Galaxy S III is smart enough to detect your face, voice and motions and adapts to individual users to provide a more convenient and natural experience. It has a “Smart Say” feature that recognizes how you use your phone.

The Samsung Galaxy S III also features “S Voice” – an advanced natural language user interface that listens and responds to your words. In addition to allowing information search and basic device-user communication, this feature presents powerful functions in regards to device control and commands. When your phone alarm goes off but you need a little extra rest, you can actually tell the phone to “snooze”. The S Voice feature can also be used to play your favorite songs, turn the volume up or down, send text messages and emails, organize schedules or automatically launch the camera and capture a photo. In addition to recognizing your face and voice, the phone also understands your motions to offer maximized usability. If you are messaging someone but decide to call them instead, simply lift the Galaxy S III to your ear and ‘Direct call’ will dial their number.

With the “All Share Cast” feature, users can now wirelessly connect their Samsung Galaxy S III to their television to immediately transfer content onto a larger display. The “AllShare Play” feature can be also used to instantly share any forms of files between your phone and your tablet, PC or televisions (regardless of the distance between the devices). There is also a “Group Cast” feature which allows you to share your screen among multiple friends on the same Wi-Fi network. You can make comments and draw changes at the same time with your co-workers, witnessing real-time sharing on your

individual device.

The Samsung Galaxy S III also has a “Pop up play” feature that allows you to play a video anywhere on your screen while simultaneously running other tasks. This eliminates the need to close and restart videos when you’re checking for new emails or surfing the Web. The 8 Megapixel camera features a zero-lag shutter speed that lets you capture moving objects easily without delay: the image you see is the picture you take. There’s also a “Burst shot” function that instantly captures twenty continuous shots from your phone’s camera and a “Best photo” feature that selects the best of eight photographs for you. Like most smartphones nowadays, HD video can be recorded (even with the 1.9MP front-facing camera). The Samsung Galaxy S III also has improved backside illumination. This helps to eliminate blur in photos that result from shaking (even under low lights).
