J&B Met Coming to Cape Town on 28 January!

The J&B Met is coming to Cape Town soon. The event is held on the 28th of January  at Kenilworth Race course (the oldest race course in South Africa). The J&B Met is held in late January every year. The event draws more than 50,000 spectators. The race has been won by horses who have gone on to international success, including Horse Chestnut and Wolf Power.

Recently the field for the 2012 J&B Met was finalized. The R2.5 million J&B Met will be run over 2000m. The 16-horse field is headlined by the Mike de Kock trained Igugu, who has been installed as a 12/10 favourite. Bravura and Tales of Bravery are next best at 7/1, followed by Queen’s Plate winner Gimmethegreenlight at 8/1.

The J&B Met is not just a horse race. It’s all about glamour, networking, fashion, sophistication and partying with friends. Central to the afternoon’s entertainment the lawns of the Kenilworth Racecourse will be transformed into a tapestry of colour and fashion.
