Over the weekend the 2011 SAMA (South African Music Awards) winners for were announced at an event staged at Monte Casino in Johannesburg on Friday and Saturday. It was the 17th annual edition of the SAMAs. The SAMA ceremony was broadcast live on SABC 1 and streamed live via the web for the first time in its history this year.
