On 14 December 2014 Miss South Africa 2014, Rolene Strauss, was crowned Miss World 2014 at a very ‘glitzy’ Miss World final in London. She is the second South African to win this title, but the third to hold the title.
Rolene Strauss dreamed of winning the Miss South Africa title after seeing Jo-Ann Strauss crowned Miss South Africa when Rolene was only 8-years old.
Rolene Strauss is the epitome of what South African women are known for, beauty and brains. She is currently a medical student at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein and won her first beauty title at the young age of 15 when she was chosen as the National winner for the Elite Model Look International pageant.
