More Events in Gauteng – June / July 2010

The Gem & Mineral Show: This event takes place over 12 days from the 30th of June until the 11th of July 2010 at Cresta Shopping Center in Johannesburg. Local residents and international guests will have the opportunity to see some of the Earth’s finest offerings. The Gem & Mineral Show has become the largest show of its nature in South Africa. The show will open from 9 AM to 6 PM on Mondays to Saturdays and from 9 AM to 3 PM on Sundays. Visitors will be able to see a rainbow of polished gemstones, crystals, crystal formations and mineral specimens (for both casual and serious collectors alike). Other fascinating displays will include ammonite, trilobite and fish fossils, geodes, meteorite pieces and dinosaur eggs. Numerous books on the topic of gems and minerals and educational packs for children will be available. A gem cutting equipment display and a scratch patch filled to the brim with tumbled stones of all colours and varieties will also be part of the Gem & Mineral Show. Lenasia Bridal Fair 2010: This event is the largest trade fair to hit Lenasia. This fair will showcase everything and anything that the bride, groom and family members could ever wish for. Over 100 exhibitors (including the finest bridal designers) will be featured this year. There will also be food stalls, fashion shows and bridal workshops. This will give you a lot to think about and plenty of ideas. Kids can look forward to face painting, jumping castles and water slides (to name just a few things). Prizes to the value of R400,000 are up for grabs. Prizes include a dream wedding, 4 double tickets to India, accommodation at a romantic lodge and more. The Lenasia Bridal Fair will be held from the 23rd to 25th of July 2010 at the Lenasia Soccer and Cricket Grounds in Johannesburg.
