Mobile Phones are becoming a more integral part of our daily lives every year. Just yesterday one of our resident bloggers pointed out that we live in The Age of Techno. We’ve become very dependent on our mobile phones. We can’t do payments or add beneficiaries via Internet Banking, or keep in touch with our Facebook and Twitter friends without them. We can’t resist taking photos with them if we’re out an about. Face it, the human race simply cannot function anymore without their mobile phones.
Well, Motorola has some great news for users of Mobile Phones and other tech gadgets in South Africa. The company has launched the Motorola Razr Maxx Smartphone in South Africa. The Motorola Razr Maxx has the longest talk time of any smartphone on the market. Nowadays those of you that use smartphones use them all day and all night. The Motorola Razr Maxx has an extremely thin and lightweight design and boasts features with the wow factor and a battery that can handle even the most demanding lifestyle. Customers in South Africa are expected to be able to start talking, texting, typing, watching and more for even longer using this Android-powered device from later in July 2012.
The phone is only 8.99mm thin and its the exact opposite of frail. The Motorola Razr Maxx is made strong with Kevlar fibre and Corning Gorilla Glass defends the hyper-vibrant 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display from getting scratched and scraped. Every single part of the smartphone is protected by a splashguard coating – it even extends to the electrical boards inside. This ensures a “go anywhere and do everything” attitude.
The Motorola Razr Maxx delivers up to 17.6 hours of talk time which means you won’t need to spend your day with your smartphone plugged into the wall. The phone has 1GB RAM and a dual-core 1.2GHz processor. The Android operating system will ensure that the user is always entertained and delivers a lightning-fast user interface and the power to multi-task like never before. Users will be able to rock their playlists while checking e-mail and breeze through photos all day, every day and all at the same time.
The Motorola Razr comes with Smart Actions (a remarkably intelligent application exclusive to Motorola). The application pushes the limits even further by automating everyday tasks based on triggers like time of day, location, battery levels and more. Think about it this way: Never forget to put your phone on silent in meetings, turn up the volume when your boss calls and even maximize your last ounce of power by dimming the display and turning off power hungry services.
The phone is also preloaded with the Motorola MotoCast application and gives users the power to stream or download content from a home or work computer straight to the device. This way your documents, photos and music are always available. No uploading to a third party is required which means there will be no wasted time or forgetting to upload that crucial presentation. Everything also stays protected, right on your computer.
Motorola smartphones offer some of the mobile phone industry’s most powerful enterprise features available and this phone is no exception. The Motorola Razr Maxx has government-grade encryption and productivity tools that rival the capabilities of desktop PCs. Users will also be able to collaborate in real time with GoToMeeting and create and edit files right on their phones with Quick Office. The Motorola Razr Maxx is available at selected Motorola authorized resellers including Cell C, 8ta, Autopage and Nashua. The recommended retail price is R6 500. The phone will also be available on contract.
