Junk Mail now offers Traders / Businesses the option to register an account that has fantastic benefits for managing an online advertising strategy.

1. Registering an Account
How do I register?
You can register by clicking the “Register” link provided on our home page www.junkmail.co.za. You will be directed to an easy-to-complete registration form.
Select Trade User Registration and complete the easy-to-complete registration form:
Simply complete it and click on “Get Registered!”. You will then be sent an email to activate your account. Click on the verification link within that email to activate/confirm your email address.
Ok you have registered your business … what is next?
To get the full trade account and all its benefits you have to complete some details regarding your company. Once you click the activation link for the email as described above you will be taken to your new Trader Dashboard. Click on the “Manage Trader” tab to complete a simple form with your business details. This will ensure your business is listed on the Trader Directory.
Once this form is completed and submitted you will be able to access your full Trader Dashboard and use all the awesome functionality.
2. Verifying an Account
How do I verify my account?
When you register your account, you are required to provide an email address. In order to verify the authenticity of your email address, we send each new user a verification email. In that email is a link to verify your account.
What if I’ve lost my verification email?
If you have accidentally lost your verification email, you can request a new one. Simply go to the Login page and enter your email address and password and click on “Login Now!”. A message (in red) will appear providing you with a link to request a new verification email.
Alternatively, you can request a new verification email by contacting the webmaster. Be sure to include the email address that you used to sign up for the account. The webmaster can then resend the verification email for your account.
3. Account Login
How do I login?
On the home page there is a “Login” link that will take you to the login page where you will be required to enter your chosen username and password. If you aren’t able to login, verify your credentials and make sure that you have verified your account.
4. Username and Password Recovery
What if I’ve lost my username?
You can request a new verification email by contacting the webmaster. Be sure to include the email address that you used to sign up for the account. The webmaster can then resend the verification email for your account.
What if I’ve lost my password?
No problem. Just click here and enter your email address. A link to reset your password will be sent to your your email address.
Alternatively, go to the Login page where you will see a blue bar just below the “Login Now!” button. Here you will find a link to recover your password. On the next page enter your email address and click “Submit”.
You will now receive an email with a link that directs you to a page to easily reset your password.
5. The Trade Account Dashboard
The first tab of your account is a link to a special, contact details already completed, ad form.
The second tab of your account is called Dashboard that gives you a quick summary of everything happening in your account. From statistics to company details and responses to ads.
The Inbox tab
The Inbox tab is where you will be able to view and manage all the responses to your adverts and Trader Site and all the alerts you receive.

The My Ads tab is the ad management tab. This tab gives you full control of your adverts making it easy to manage your online advertising strategy.
There are 4 sub-tabs in the “My Ads” tab:
- Active Ads
- Deactivated Ads
- Pending Ads
- Expiring Ads
All your active ads will show in the Active Ads tab while all your inactive ads will show in the Deactivated Ads tab. When you deactivate an active ad it will appear in the Deactivated Ads tab and will be removed from search results. If you Activate an advert from the Deactivated Ads tab it will appear in the Active Ads tab and the search results.
To view your inactive ads simply click on the Deactivated Ads tab. If you want to view your active ads again simply click on the Active Ads tab.
Ads awaiting moderation will be listed on the Pending Ads tab. Some categories require moderation before ads can go live on www.junkmail.co.za. The category into which an ad is placed will determine whether the ad will go live before or after moderation.
Ads that have not been repeated regularly and are almost 3-months old, can be found under the Expiring Ads sub tab.
At the bottom of each active ad you will see the following buttons to manage your ads depending on what sub tab you are on:
- Deactivate
- Edit
- Delete
- Repeat
At the bottom of each deactivated ad you will see the following buttons to manage your ads depending on what sub tab you are on:
- Activate
- Edit
- Delete
The Alerts tab
This tab allows you to set up and manage email alerts. An email alert can be set up if you wish to be notified of new ads that are placed in a region, category etc. of your choice. The alerts that were triggered are view-able in the My Inbox tab.
The Manage Trader tab
This tab is a summary of your Trader Services that gives you the option to change your business details, company logo and introduction image.
You are able to share your own Trader Site link/URL with all your clients so that they will be able to see all your services and products.
