The 2011 IRB Rugby World Cup tournament is approaching its end fast. Rugby teams from 20 countries started the tournament in the 2nd week of September this year.

South Africa lost against Australia, Argentina lost against New Zealand, Ireland lost against Wales and England lost against France in the quarter final stage (as mentioned in our previous post about the IRB Rugby World Cup).
This past weekend France took on Wales on Saturday and Australia took on New Zealand on Sunday in the Semi Final stage of the tournament. The French proved to be a little bit too strong for Wales (despite the fact that the Welsh team scored a try against them). France won the match by 9 points to 8. In the other semi-final match Australia and New Zealand provided rugby fans with a brilliant showcase of rugby. New Zealand dominated the match (leading by 14 points to 6 at half-time) and eventually won the match by 26 points to 9.
The 3rd / 4th place playoff match will take place on Friday (the 21st of October). Wales will be taking on Australia. Both teams will be out to salvage some lost pride which could make for an interesting match.
This Sunday, the 23rd of October, France will take on New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland in 2011 IRB Rugby World Cup Final. It will be a repeat of the 1987 IRB Rugby World Cup final 24 years ago. France will be playing their hearts out to get their first Rugby World Cup Title and New Zealand will be giving their all to get their all to get their 2nd IRB Rugby World Cup title belt on.
The Springboks might be out of the tournament, but the Junk Mail team still has an iPad 2 that needs to be given away.
