Prepare to be Mesmerized by Now You See Me!

Now You See Me is an upcoming Thriller-Caper film set for release in the United States at the end of May. It looks and sounds like this is going to be one of the better films of 2013. It has the potential to mesmerize movie audiences with it’s awesomeness. Sadly no release date has been announced for this movie in South Africa yet, but you should check probably check out the Nu Metro website for updates about it’s release.

In the upcoming film The Four Horsemen (a magic super-group led by the charismatic Michael Atlas) perform high-tech magic shows. They astonish  audiences by robbing a bank on another continent and expose a white-collar criminal and funnel his millions into the audience members’ bank accounts. A team of FBI agents (led by Dylan Hobbs)  is determined to make them pay for their crimes – and to stop them before they pull off another heist (which promises to be bigger than the first two).

Now You See Me

Now You See Me is directed by Louis Leterrier (who also directed 2002’s The Transporter, 2005’s Transporter 2 ,2008’s  The Incredible Hulk and 2010’s Clash of The Titans). The screenplay for the movie was written by Ed Solomon, Boaz Yarkin and Edward Ricourt.  The film will feature appearances by Morgan Freeman (who is also starring in the upcoming Oblivion movie), Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Jesse Eisenberg (who gained famed for his performances in Zombieland and The Social Network), Mark Ruffalo (who played the role of Hulk in 2012’s The Avengers), veteran British actor Michael Caine, Melanie Laurent, Elias Koteas, Woody Harrelson and others.  The film has an estimated budget of $70 million.

Some people are referring to this film “Oceans Eleven with magic”. It may see that way, but I’m not one of those  movie buffs who likes to jump the gun. I do think that movie audiences can expect a good old fashioned “Twist In The End” for Now You See Me though – my gut is telling me that all is not what it seems in this upcoming film. Check out the trailer below and you’ll see what I mean.
