It’s the 4th annual Sports and Events Tourism Exchange that is aimed to position South Africa as a sports and events destination. This encourages the sports, events and tourism industry to collaborate and showcase their product offerings.
The Sports Tourism is said to be a fast growing industry and is growing rapidly. Following the success of the previous 3 events, SETE is backed by Thebe Reed Exhibitions and has been expanded to include Arts, Cultural and Lifestyle events from the Tourism sector.
Thebe Reed Exhibitions is powered by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development and Tourism. The event is hosted by Kwa-Zulu Natal Tourism as well as Tourism Durban. The sponsors of this event include Tsogo Sun, South African Airways, SABC Sport, Radio 2000 and many more.
The Sports and Events Tourism Exchange is hosted over 2 days and will also include Internationally hosted buyers as well as local corporates that are interested in bringing business to South Africa within this sector. This year’s conference is to celebrate the success and achievements of the Events industry over the past 20 years.
