Great News! The Top Gear Festival is returning to South Africa in June 2013! Jeremy Clarkson, James May and “The Stig” will be amazing crowds at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on the 15th and 16th of June. This edition of the Top Gear Festival is powered by Shell V-Power.
The Top Gear Festival is an extension of the Top Gear Live global tour and will offer visitors a chance to experience the Top Gear Live Stadium Show, the Top Gear Festival Street Circuit, a Stars in Cars feature, a Shell Stunt School, a Motoring Pavilion and a Go-Kart Track. It’s going to be bigger and better than 2012 edition of the show (which also took place in Durban).
Brace yourselves for some awesome stunts, races, motoring challenges and some of the world’s greatest cars all on the streets of Durban. Expect an exhibition crammed with stylish, rare and expensive cars, luxury gadgets and goods, car accessories, motoring technology and many more.
The all-new Top Gear Live Stadium Show will not disappoint and will deliver world class acts and charismatic antics (which is a trademark characteristic of the Top Gear Festival). As part of the Stars in Cars feature a host of celebrity drivers (headed this year by two-time Formula One World Champion Mika Häkkinen) will tear around the Top Gear Festival Street Circuit – it should be an exhilarating experience.
This year’s Street Circuit promises to bring more excitement with a new layout, greater overtaking possibilities and improved viewing opportunities. The Shell Stunt school will feature professional drivers piloting vehicles through jaw dropping manoeuvres, the Motoring Pavilion will feature South Africa’s top manufactures and best in all things motoring and the Go-Kart track will feature the latest karts for your driving pleasure. It doesn’t seem like there will be a dull moment at this year’s Top Gear Festival.
Tickets to the Top Gear Festival are still available and cost between R250 and R2100 a ticket. Various ticket packages are available.
