2. Fun Land

The Fun Land sector is just one of the reasons why the show is one of the not-to-be-missed family events taking place this year. This section of the show takes up 15 000 square meters and it features a variety of exciting rides. With so many activities to choose from, there is truly something for everyone at Fun Land. Another highlight of this section is its huge beer tent, which has carts to deliver beverages to the exhibitors.

3. Exhibitors

When it comes to finding events in Johannesburg, the East Rand Show is definitely worth attending. The show boasts over 600 exhibitors from across South Africa, and with plenty of different exhibits to visit, you’ll find whatever you’re looking for. From arts to technology, you can be sure that an expansive range of sectors will be represented.

4. Flea Market Stalls

The show has numerous flea market stalls that create a relaxing atmosphere while you get your shopping done. The wide range of products to choose from means that visitors to the East Rand Show are spoilt for choice.

5. Delicious Food

A sit-down, à la carte restaurant will be set up at the showgrounds and aims to provide meals for at least 200 visitors. Food and wine will be available from the continental menu and there will also be food stalls situated throughout the showgrounds. Whether you are looking for a drink or a snack, you’ll find it at the show.

6. Competitions

The show will host a range of competitions, including prizes for the baby and toddler of the year. Schools can enter the cheerleading competition in which the winners will compete for a floating trophy. Competition entrants will also have the opportunity to compete for the titles of Mr and Ms East Rand. A floating trophy will also be awarded to the stand of the year.

7. Interactive app

Event advertising is made easy with the interactive app. This app will include the details of every business that is taking part in the event. It is available to all visitors for free and can be downloaded prior to the event. The app gives visitors a chance to review the businesses that have exhibits at the show and decide which stalls to visit.

8. Aviation

A highlight of the automotive section of the event is the Car Show. This entertainment feature is hosted by Badass Customs and Speed and Sound. It’s scheduled to take place on 2 December.

10. Outdoors

The show is one of the largest outdoor events in the country with a venue that spans over 169 000 square meters, creating plenty of room for exhibitors.

The event tickets for the East Rand Show are R120 for single-day admission and R270 for a weekend pass. Pensioners pay R60 for one day and R135 for a weekend pass. The all-weekend family package enables four adults to enter the show.
