Virgin Atlantic Rewind 80’s Festival Returning to SA Soon!

Many of you reading this post probably grew up during the awesome decade that was the 80’s. Like your’s truly, you’re probably nostalgic about this decade  and remember TV shows like Pop Shop and Fast Forward that used to be on South African television.

Well, don’t let your nostalgia get the better of you, the Virgin Atlantic Rewind 80’s festival is the perfect way to take a trip down memory lane and revisit some of those favorite childhood songs that you grew up with!

Earlier in 2012, the 80’s Rewind Festival was a huge success in Durban. Because of this success, Rewind SA recently officially announced that Virgin Atlantic would be the headline sponsor for the next 2 editions of the festival. The upcoming Virgin Atlantic 80’s Rewind Festival is also brought to you in association with Jacaranda FM and Heart FM. The next 2 editions of the 80’s Rewind festival will be hosted at Supersport Park in Centurion and the Grand West Arena in Cape Town.

The 2 new editions comes as no surprise; 20,000 people partied to the best of the 80’s in Durban and the public has been screaming for a follow-up event since then. 7 top international artists will play over 40 hits and will have you singing and dancing along in no time to some of the best hits from the 80’s.

80’s fans can look forward to performances by Rick Astley, Human League, Belinda Carlisle, ABC, Nik Kershaw, Tony Hadley (from Spandau Ballet) and Imagination featuring Lee John at the Virgin Atlantic 80’s Rewind Festival. Just so you know, Human League will only performing at the Centurion leg. The Virgin Atlantic 80’s Rewind Festival will be bringing you the best in 80’s talent mixed in with some other entertainment. Fans can also expect prizes for the best-dressed, making this an evening that you do not want to miss out on.

The show at Grand West Arena will take place on the 31st of October and the show at Supersport Park will take place on the 3rd of November. Tickets are already available from July for Supersport Park from Ticketpros (priced from R350) and tickets for Grand West Arena are available via Computicket (priced from R325).
