We have been alerted by a user about a new scam that is doing its rounds on the Junk Mail Xchange platform on Mxit. These persons advertise electronic goods on the Junk Mail website and other items below market value to attract the attention of unsuspecting potential buyers.
The scammers are using the following numbers to advertise: 073 9219357 and 084 3466981. The e-mail address they are using is gouwsc@yahoo.com. These scammers avoid telephonic conversations and chat to potential buyers via mobile applications like Mxit or Whatsapp. One of the items they advertised was a Sinotec 42 inch LCD TV for R2000.
Take note of the following to avoid being caught by this scam:
- It’s highly likely that you’re dealing with a scam if something sounds too go to be true (like a 42 inch TV priced for R2000, etc).
- If the person doesn’t want to meet in person to show you the product and ONLY just wants you to deposit money, chances are they don’t even have the item and they’re just after your hard earned cash.
- If the advertiser is claiming to have a store at an address in their advert, check if the address actually exists. An easy way to do that is to use Google Maps.
If you encounter this scam or any other scam on Junk Mail, please contact our Customer Care Department via ccc@junkmail.co.za or telephonically on 012-3423840 x2295.

I hope everything will get solved. I saw a great guide inside different website.
