Great news for South African wrestling fans! WWE Live is returning to South Africa for the first time in two years in 2013! WWE fans can brace themselves for five WWE Live events in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.
WWE Live will feature appearances by WWE Smack Down Superstars and Divas by Alberto Del Rio, Randy Orton, Sheamus, The Big Show, South Africa’s own Justin Gabriel, Mark Henry, Wade Barrett, Sin Cara, Damien Sandow, Cody Rhodes and The Great Khali. It promises to be one of most exciting experiences of the year. Wrestling fans simply should not miss this!
WWE (or World Wrestling Entertainment) is currently the largest professional wrestling promotion globally. WWE reaches 13 million viewers in the United States and broadcasts its shows in 30 languages in 145 countries. WWE headquarters is located in Stanford, Connecticut in the US, but they also have offices in New York City, Los Angeles, London, Shanghai, Tokyo, Singapore and Mumbai. The WWE started out as the Capitol Wrestling Corporation in 1952. They’ve embraced the digital age over the last few years: the WWE Facebook fan page currently has more than 11 million fans and their @WWE Twitter account has more than 2 million followers.
The five WWE Live events will take place on the 30th and 31st of July at the Grand West Arena in Cape Town, on the 1st of August at the Westridge Stadium in Durban and on the 2nd and 3rd of August 2013 at the Coca Cola Dome in Johannesburg. The events are brought to you by Big Concerts. Tickets are available via Computicket and cost R295 to R600 for Cape Town. R255 to R590 for Durban and R295 to R600 for Johannesburg.
