Off road tracks in the Eastern Cape and Free State
Established in 1972 and located in East London, Border Motocross has a history of hosting various MX Nationals. It offers a 1.8 kilometre senior track divided into two sections. The first offers a sweeping ride while the other offers berms, medium sized jumps, a rhythm section and more. Border Motocross also has a junior track. With a 0.67 kilometre distance, it is perfect for beginner as well as junior 50cc riders.
If you live in the Free State, the Bloemfontein Off Road Club (BORC) is a stunning option. Hosting various events, the BORC has both Flat Tracks and MX tracks. The Harrismith Off Road Club is also a good option, playing host to a number of big events in the province and offering riders a truly fun MX track.
Off road tracks in Gauteng
If you’re living in the city, Gauteng has a number of motocross tracks for you to play on. Chestnut Hill Motocross Park is a great place to get down and dirty, and features challenging tracks for off road bikes.
The Dirt Bronco Raceway, neatly tucked away in Krugersdorp, is a popular off road biking option offering a number of different tracks. The first is a dedicated track for children (50cc and 65cc), with the two main tracks open to all riders. Enduro riders also have the opportunity to explore the raceway’s vast surrounds – from mine dumps to beautiful bushveld.
Dirt Bronco Raceway also plays host to races that are open to all level riders. These usually take place on Saturdays and Sundays.
Also located in Krugersdorp, Maniax MX Park offers a stunning atmosphere for both riders and non-riders. It boasts a main track measuring an estimated 1.8 kilometres in length as well as a Peewee track.
If you are looking for a reason to find epic quads for sale, the Rhino Park offers tracks for both bikes and quads, giving you more than enough reason to buy a four wheeled beauty. With affordable fees, this track’s location is great for the whole family. Situated in Alberton, Smoking Pistons Racetrack was established in December of 2010 and offers a challenging Supercross track with an approximate distance of 752 meters, a Senior MX track that has an approximate distance of 1.72 kilometres, and a Junior MX track with an approximate distance of 640 meters.
With an off-road track dating back to the sixties, the Syringa X Park is more than enough reason to find awesome off road bikes for sale. The Syringa X Park is located in Muldersdrift and boasts a Supercross and Motocross track. I’ts Club X races, run on a handicap basis, are fun for all riders and incorporate about sixty percent of the old sixties Syringa track.
Located in Midrand, the Terra Topia Dirt Bike Club caters for all two-wheel, off road bikes. It offers a European style motocross track that is suited for all rider levels – from MX Pro to weekend warrior racers, you will love this course. This tracked is also watered every weekend, guaranteeing a muddy and dirty fun experience.
Off road tracks in KwaZulu-Natal
Not just the land of the surfer, KwaZulu-Natal also offers great tracks for off road bikers. The Highstakes Venue has a main MX track that is filled with rollers, doubles, off-camber corners and more. The outer track is great for testing your speed, while your little man can have tons of fun on the Mini Track. Highstakes also has an Enduro track.
KZN Enduro Adventures is ideal if you are looking for specialised Enduro rides in KwaZulu-Natal. Creating specific weekends for everyone from social enthusiast to hard-core riders, this is definitely something to look into.
Located in Pietermaritzburg, the Hilton Off Road Club offers some of the best Enduro terrain in KwaZulu-Natal and is also worth a visit if you are in the area.
Off road tracks in Limpopo and Mpumalanga
The Selati Motocross Club in Phalaborwa has a one kilometre MX track and features a flat track as well as a 10 kilometre Enduro loop that takes you over rivers and through the bush.
Sabie River Adventures offers stunning Enduro adventures for off road bikes. With a track that can cater for all riders – from beginner to more experienced riders – you can book your adventure and load the bike for a fun filled day.
If you are looking for dirt, mud and fun, Dirt Maniacs Wakkerstroom is definitely for you. With a number of rides – ranging to include Pongola Valley, Frik se Plaas and Ossewa Kop – you are sure to find your favourite track in no time.
Off road tracks in the Northern Cape and North West
Dirt Trax, located 29 Kilometres outside of Kimberley, is an adventure venue that offers various entertainment for bikes and vehicles. With a Flat Track, motocross track and a bike track for the kids, this venue also has braai facilities – a great way to end a dirty day.
The InXess Motocross Track in Rustenburg, North West, has both a motocross track as well as quad track making it a great option for family outings and another fab reason to find rugged quads for sale on Junk Mail.
