World’s Biggest Vuvuzela in Cape Town

Love it or hate it, the Vuvuzela is a uniquely South African phenomenon that has been getting international attention since the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup was hosted by South Africa. It’s an integral part of South African Football culture. It simply will not be the same without the vuvuzela. In anticipation for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (which kicks off on Friday this week) the World’s Largest Vuvuzela has been erected on the incomplete bridge in Green Point, Cape Town (not far from the newly built and ready Cape Town Stadium). The Giant Vuvuzela will apparently be sounded every time a goal is scored in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Fan fever is kicking into overdrive mode, so brace yourself for a month of Football thrills and fan flavor!
