Let’s face it folks, when you’re a boy growing up, you want a car bed (or at least a comfortable bed to sleep in). Car beds have been around for decades. Not much is said or written about their origins, but I’m pretty sure that they’ve been around since 1950s or 1960s. I’m speaking under correction, but I don’t think that car beds were around before the 1950s.

Car beds come in various styles and sizes.  The target market for car beds has always been toddlers or teenage boys. You could probably find a double, queen or king size car bed if you look around, but you probably won’t find them in your local store. If you’re an adult male looking for one to embrace your inner race car loving self, chances are someone would have to find someone who will custom build you one.
