Bulls beat Crusaders in 2009 Super 14 Semi Final

Blue Bulls By Junk Mail

In the first few minutes of the match, the score told a poor story for the Blue Bulls but in true sportsmanship they pulled out all the stops & shone through with experience & leadership to take control of the ball.

One of the heroes of the game was undoubtedly Morne Steyn. He managed to score a record 4 dropgoals, 3 conversions & 1 penalty with his boot. That’s how it’s supposed to be done! Bryan Habana, Akona Ndungane & Pierre Spies crossed the try-line for the Bulls. Unfortunately McCaw’s Crusaders side had to call it a day when the match ended with the Bulls comfortably winning by 36 points to 23.

We congratulate the Blue Bulls and wish them luck for next weekend’s Super 14 Final which will be played on their home ground, Loftus Versveld.
