Have you ever wondered if your Junk Mail ad is active or could not find your classifieds ads online? Today we give you the lowdown on the two easy ways to check whether your ads are alive and kicking.
How to check your Junk Mail ad while you’re not logged in:
- Go to the JunkMail Homepage and do a search for the email address you placed the ad/s with. Type your email address in the Junk Mail search bar and make sure that All Categories and South Africa is selected and then click/tap the Search button.
- You can do the same by searching for the contact number you placed the ad/s with. Type your 10 digit number without spaces, hyphens, country codes or brackets (e.g. 0820000000) in the search bar and make sure that All Categories and South Africa is selected and then click/tap the Search button.
- If you know the specific advert’s ID then you can use the ID as the search keyword in the same way as explained above.
After hitting the search button, the system will find all the active ads for the email address or contact number and show them in search results.
How to check your Junk Mail ad while you are logged in:
Aside from being a just plain epic free classifieds website, www.JunkMail.co.za also offers you the great benefit of a FREE Junk Mail account. Your account allows you to manage your classified ads from one, easy-to-use dashboard. Here is how to check it while you are logged in:
- Log into your JunkMail account and click on the My Ads menu item. There are 4 tabs under this menu item for the different statuses that your ad/s could be in. They are Active Ads (those that are live on Junk Mail), Deactivated Ads (those that have been deactivated), Pending Ads (some ads could be pending moderation before being made active) and Expiring Ads (ads that will soon be expiring).
- If you have lots of ads you can search for a specific one from within your account by using the search feature under My Ads.
So if you just want to do a quick check if your ad is active you can search for your email address, contact number or the advert ID but if you want more control over your ads then you can login and manage your ads.

Hi, we uploading pics and they are coming out upside down.
We then can’t seem to delete advert pics that have been duplicated!?
Hi Sean, we have fixed the images for you, please click here to see your ads. In future, when you upload ads please try to remove any foreign characters from the name of each picture. Naming the photo’s “image 1”, “image 2”, “image 3” should resolve the issue. Please also ensure that the image is in jpeg format and is not too large or too small. Thanks
For what period does my add run
Hi Swannie, your ad stays on our website until you delete it. It just moves down the search listings. You can repeat your ad after a 7 day period. You can do that from your Junk Mail dashboard after you’ve logged in, or the email you received when placing the ad. Thanks
