The Wedding Expo information
The 2019 Wedding Expo is scheduled to take place on the 8th and 9th of June at Carnival City Sun Park in the East Rand. Durban locals will also get the chance to experience the excitement from 3rd to 4th August at Durban Sibaya Sun Park. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door for R100. Tickets for children between the ages of 3- and 10-years old cost R30. This event is held in partnership with Old Mutual.

What can you expect from the Wedding Expo?
- Cake sampling
The “Have your Cake and Eat it” stand is worth checking out. Satisfy your sweet tooth while finding your dream cake. Visitors will have the chance to sample a diverse range of delicious cakes for 15 minutes every hour from 10am until 4pm. There’s no extra cost for the cake tasting. Visit the stand and list your name to be part of the fun.
- Fashion feature
The Fashion Feature segment of the show is a must-see for any bride. Prepare to be awestruck by the magnificent dresses while getting the chance to gain insight from the designers. You’ll benefit from getting advice on how to choose the perfect dress for your special day. The Fashion Feature takes place from 11am to 3pm every day and there is no additional cost.
- WED talks
Head to the stage area at 1pm to learn from industry experts. These interactive panel discussions are fun and informative. You’ll discover more about the various aspects of weddings and get the chance to ask questions. The spot prizes add extra excitement to this part of the show.
- Chill den
Head to the Chill Den when you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the Wedding Expo. Planning a wedding is fun but it also requires hard work so you can take a timeout in this section of the show. You’ll be entertained by live music and there’ll be plenty of delicious food to enjoy.
- Be my guest competition
Vote for your best table setting by scanning the QR code using the Necta app. By entering this competition, you could be the winner of an engagement shoot, which is priced at R2 500.
